    Plaquenil lupus fatigue

I'm not completely pain free, but it's a lot better than it was. I've been on plaquenil since mid June I have had a lot of stress in my life so I can't determine what is causing what. Not seeing any improvements with pain but I just went to 0 prednisone 3 weeks ago. said give it a few months and if I don't see any improvement I might as well go off of it. Wanted to let you know that I was on plaquenil for about three years and I told my RA doctor that my fatigue was worse. It just seems like the fatigue is worse than it has ever been, and it doesn't seem to matter if I go to bed early or take a nap during the day. Woke up and cleaned the kitchen an hour later(my kitchen is a galley kitchen 8 ft maybe.no time) Took a nap. Early on I did get those stomach cramps and diarrhea. All my pain is tolerable and he sees no deformities so he says he doesn't see RA activity. Just because the pain is tolerable doesn't make me like it any better. He did a plaquenil test and sure enough it was low.

Jan 08, 2020 I was diagnosed with SLE in Summer 2019. My rheumatologist calls PlaquenilLupus life insurance.” I’ve been taking it daily since June and it is working really well. My fatigue, joint pain, swelling and other issues are essentially gone. My bloodwork continues to move toward “normal” ranges in every area and I am no longer anemic. Three anti-malarial drugs are prescribed for lupus symptoms. Hydroxychloroquine Plaquenil is the most commonly prescribed because it is generally believed to cause fewer side effects; chloroquine Aralen has a reputation for more serious side effects, but it may be prescribed in situations where hydroxychloroquine cannot be used. Will also help lower Bad Cholesterol - Important especially if you are a woman as Lupus itself can cause clotting and a woman over 35 has more issues with clotting anyways. If your cholesterol is too high, all these factors combined put you at a very high risk for Stroke or Heart Attack.

I wake up tired in the morning, get my kids fed and off to the schoolbus, and some days that's all I can do until it's time to go pick them up and make dinner, then I collapse after the kids are put to bed. I don't know if this is just the way RA is, or if it is a side effect of the medicine. Wasn't going to eat luch because I would have to move to do it.husband bought out. Kids came home, helped with homewrok, made dinner..picked up couch(because my blanket and pillow were there) Went to bed at 9.

  7. I have been on Plaquenil for years. It has not helped me with fatigue. Things like vitamins and exercise might assist with decreasing the fatigue level. I have been on 2 Dmards and a biologic for the longest time. I also take Tramadol for pain and now Indomethicin has been added to the mix to help with stiffness.

If anything, it’s Lupus OR psychosomatic. Plaquenil is a slow-acting drug which is why you take it long term. It honestly takes on average 1 to 3 months to work and be built up in your system, which is why you typically have a 3-6 month review after being prescribed it. The only side effects from Plaquenil that most of us notice is possibly an upset stomach for a few days.sure to take with food. Depression, anxiety, and brain fog could be Lupus symptoms -- or they could be from Remicade, I'm not familiar with it's side effects. In 1956, the U. S. Food and Drug Administration approved HCQ for symptoms of lupus and rheumatoid arthritis, particularly skin inflammation, hair loss, mouth sores, fatigue, and joint pain. Dosing Hydroxychloroquine is generally prescribed at a daily dose of 6.5 milligrams or less per kilogram of body weight.

Stopping Methotrexate - Arthritis Information Oct 29, 2007 Have been on methotrexate 20mg 8/@2.5mg for about a year and 1/2. Recently moved and have a new Rheumatoligist who did his own blood test and x-rays, according to him he cannot find the blood factor or damage to any joints to prove that I have RA. I would like to know can I stop taking methotrexate or do I have to ween off of it slowly? Or should I even be thinking of stopping the meds? I.
